Physical Exams & Pet Wellness Checks

We want to know as much about your dog and cat's health as possible, as this will allow us to provide the best treatment we can. Pet check-up appointment start with a serious of questions about your pet's health history. The questions are followed by a complete examination from head to paw and mouth to tail. During this exam we screen for skin issues, parasites, and other common diseases.

Fleas & Ticks

Fleas and ticks cause many ailments in our pets. Fleas carry tapeworms and cause skin irritations and allergies in dogs and cats. Ticks transmit several diseases to our pets including Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Anaplasma, Erlichia, Babesia and many other disease that can be harmful to your dog or cat. We offer monthly treatments to protect them against fleas and ticks, which will prevent them from bringing these pests in to your home. Heartworms, intestinal worms, fleas, and ticks all carry various diseases, as well as causing complications of their own.

Parasites

Intestinal Parasites and Heartworms are two types of parasites that are common in pets. They are harmful and can lead to death. Intestinal parasites are common in dogs and cats especially puppies and kittens, which they get from their mom while nursing. It's important to have your dogs and cats tested for intestinal parasites so they can be de-wormed if necessary.
Heartworms are a major concern for dog owners, because heartworms impact your dog's quality of life and can lead to death. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes that bite an infected dog, then bite another dog and pass the heartworms to them. The key to heartworms is prevention, so as long as your dog is free of heartworms we can prescribe an easy to administer monthly chewable to protect them.
Thirty years of experience has taught us that it's easier to prevent illness that to treat it. So, allow our experienced and compassionate staff to care for your pets.
